Event calendar
The event calendar shows when each excursion and event takes place. A separate email containing an excursion letter is sent for every event. You can get more information about the events from your group guide.
Events
Listed below are the events organized annually by Kara-Karhut.

| A day trip | A trip without an overnight stay. Usually organized for the youngest scouts. |
| A nature trip | A traditional nature trip lasting one or two nights with your own group. Accommodation is in lean-to shelters. Usually held in the autumn and spring. |
| Karhunpalvelus | A joint scouting skills competition for patrols from Kara-Karhut and our neighbor troop Kilon Kipinät, held in September or October. |
| Troop trip Karhunkaato | An annual camp with the entire troop in October or November. The younger Cub Scouts stay indoors, while the older scouts generally sleep in squad tents. |
| Independence Day Celebration | An annual celebration held on Independence Day, December 6th, where new members are given their scout scarves and those who have distinguished themselves are awarded (e.g., promise ceremonies, presentation of rank badges). |
| Porridge celebration | An end-of-autumn-term event featuring a relaxed, Christmas-themed program for troop members and their loved ones. |
| Potato salad trip | The leader team’s planning retreat for the upcoming term. |
| Trips for the leaders | The leader team’s own trips without voluntary work |
| Sekoretki (Adventurer and Cub Scoout trip) | A hut trip for Adventurers and Cub Scouts. Indoor accommodation. Held during the spring, usually in March or April. |
| Tarpojaretki (Tracker trip) | A hut trip for Trackers. Indoor accommodation. Held during the spring, usually in March or April. |
| Spring term closing event | The final event of the spring, usually held in late May or early June. A relaxed program for troop members and their loved ones. |
